Meet the new intern Helen

Hello! My name is Helen, and I am Instar’s new intern.

Career changes do not ask about how old you are, thus I became a 38-year-old intern. I encourage everyone, regardless of age, to experiment and take new steps on their career path. It is certainly not easy, but it feels great when you find a field that matches your strengths and where you can confidently take action.

In 2025, I began my master’s studies in Journalism and Communication at the University of Tartu. Previously, I have worked as a recruiter in HR, as an English teacher, and I have also studied general nursing. Unfortunately, I did not become a healthcare professional, but I did find my place in the Estonian Women’s Voluntary Defence Organization (Naiskodukaitse) in a medical role.

I am very grateful that Instar gave me the opportunity to do an internship in marketing and sales, as it is important for me to learn about communication from all different perspectives.

From this internship I expect clear goals, challenges, and the opportunity to learn and experience a new field for me. Although I have worked as a recruiter, I have not previously been involved in employer branding projects.

I am excited and open to everything that lies ahead!
